Revesby Workers proved too strong for Miranda RSL on Tuesday night, winning the Better Relations trophy grand final.
Revesby came out firing and took a strong lead early in the night. It was 6-1 before Miranda were able to stage a huge comeback, drawing level at 6-6.
But Revesby were too strong in the end, defeating Miranda 9-6.

Overall the night was a great success. There was a terrific atmosphere, with a record number of spectators, and plenty of top snooker on display. Hassan Kerde in particular was outstanding, knocking in a an impressive 71.

This makes back-to-back trophies for Revesby, who have been both minor and major premiers 2 years in a row - since they joined the competition.
Their entry into the SSSA has helped take our competition to a new level, drawing some of the States best players, enhancing our reputation as arguably one of the best leagues in NSW.

Congratulations once again to Revesby Workers Club on another fantastic season.

Commiserations to Miranda RSL - but well done for making it so far. You had to fight off some of the toughest teams (Bexley & Ramsgate) to make the grand final. You certainly earned your spot! Well done!

A very big thank you to Cronulla RSL for hosting the event. To SSSA President, Nick Sellors and Assistant Secretary Stuart Tait for your hard work both on grand final night, and throughout the 2015 season. Thanks also to SSSA Secretary Glenn Hughes, and our Handicapping Committee. Without your valuable (and voluntary) work, our competition would not be as great as it is.
Thank you to all the volunteer markers, much appreciated.
And lastly, thanks to all the spectators that came along to support both teams on the night, and for supporting our wonderful sport and the local clubs that support us!

So thats a wrap for the 2015 teams season!

Shire Singles will recommence next Tuesday 8th September.
