Georges River 16ft Sailing Club are the 2015 winners of the Endeavour Trophy, after defeating Heathcote RSL 9-4.
George's River started strong, winning the first 3 frames. Their momentum continued through the night, never in any real danger of letting the trophy slip away.
Heathcote put up a good fight, but just couldn't quite get over the line on the night.
All games were played in the right spirit, with plenty of spectators making for a great evening.
Congratulations to both teams on a great season. Both were a chance to finish in the top 4 until the very last week when Miranda snuck in under the radar to claim 4th spot.
Martyn Everitt (Georges River) took out the season's high break prize (in the 2nd division), with 52.
Luke Bradley (Heathcote RSL) won the most frames for the season (2nd division), with 24 frames.
We must extend a very big thank you to Cronulla RSL - staff, management & Snooker Club, for hosting the event.
Special thanks to Nick Sellors, Stuart Tait & Glenn Wallace.
Thank you also to all those who helped with marking frames, and to all the spectators who came along to support both teams. A great night was had by all!
We look forward to seeing everyone back at Cronulla RSL next week for the main event - the Better Relations Trophy grand final - Revesby Workers Club vs Miranda RSL.
